I started the program at 156 pounds and now I am at 139, losing a total of 17 pounds within 9 weeks. I was a size 14 and now I can fit into some of my size 8 clothes. However, this is amazing because I had a very stubborn metabolism. I'm a single mother raising three small children by myself and my health is important. My face has even changed - it's less round. The best thing about this program is that it really brought my overall health up. I'm off all three medications (for blood pressure, thyroid and depression). My blood pressure is down to 117/70. In the Adrenal Body Type, the hormone cortisol reacts to STRESS. As stress increases, this hormone tells the body to “hold onto energy” and store fat. The reason fat accumulates in your belly has to do with keeping your vital organs surviving. In the Thyroid Body Type, which is weight distribution all over; the person will crave carbs like breads and sweets. This is due to the speed of the body’s metabolism and its demand for quick energy. It can’t differentiate between a Twinkie carbohydrate or spinach Carbohydrate – it will force you to want the one that gives you fast energy without regard to long-term effects.

I have been on your program for about 6 months and I could absolutely not be happier with my results. I have lost over 95 pounds and I feel terrific. I started the program weighing 339 pounds and now I weigh 244. What was very interesting is that the first month on your program I lost NO weight; however, I could breathe better, I didn't get winded when I ran up the stairs, and I had much more energy. But the next month I lost 21 pounds. The third month I was 63 pounds less. Normally I would have given up within the first month; however, I had to heal my body's endocrine system before fat could be burned. I also had to re-grow muscle protein in my legs, which made my knees weak, and muscle protein weighs more than fat, which explains why I was shrinking in my clothes but the weight didn't initially change. I had this idea that I had to lose weight to get and be healthy, but Dr. Berg explained I had it backwards-I had to get healthy before I would lose weight.

Because of the educational value of this program I have no doubt that I will have no problem keeping all the weight off. I have enough information to know exactly what healthy eating means. I have tried several fad diets and the weight has come back each time. Once I quit the diet I would go back to my normal habits and ruin everything. Now that I know how bad my normal habits really were, I will not fall back into that trap. I thought I knew what healthy eating meant before I was introduced to this program. I was wrong. It seems like a pretty simple concept, but in truth, there is a lot more to it than I thought. I know that now, and I will always know what I am doing to myself when I cheat-it takes the fun out of cheating. Dr. Berg has done more for me than any other doctor or diet I have ever tried. On 5-2-05 I started the program weighing in at 148 pounds, fluctuating between a size 12 and 14. My thing was chocolate and I majorly craved it in any form. I also loved popcorn and salty things. In Dr. Berg's book, he describes chocolate and salt cravings being the Adrenal type. Since I was a little girl I've struggled with weight, taking dancing classes and other activities to try to lose it. I've tried many diets over the years, losing some weight but putting it right back on. Through Dr. Berg's program, I realized I've been focused on the wrong thing: calories and fat. His program helped me understand hormones and especially how to trigger fat-burning hormones through foods. The weight slowly and steadily came off at exactly 2 pounds per week. At the end of the year I now weigh 103 and can fit into a size 2. I have absolutely no desire for chocolate or sweet fruits. This has become a healthy lifestyle as I have energy, better sleep, and no salt cravings.

For many years, I either gained or lost weight, never maintained. My weight has swung up to 70 pounds overweight at times. I have now lost 71 lbs of the weight!

I was dealing with several issues. I was gaining weight rapidly yet eating a clean, healthy diet and working out consistently. I was experiencing debilitating mood swings, fatigue and depression while my doctors kept adding medications to "fix" the problems. In the spring of 2003 I ended up with a deadly case of pneumonia that wouldn't respond to antibiotics and a fungus in my lungs due to mold exposure where I was living. Before all of these issues my weight stayed around 125 to 132 lbs, but during this crisis I ballooned to 212 lbs, which was my heaviest. I would look in the mirror sometimes and wonder who I was. I also refused to buy new clothes so I wore my boyfriends XXLarge clothes. Through Dr. Berg's program, I have regained my health and feel better than ever. I have now lost 71 lbs and am in a size 6. In 1994, I was a swimwear model. Something happened in my life, which I won't get into, but I gained 20 lbs, had an appendectomy and was also diagnosed with a breast tumor. After the removal of my appendix I tried a product called RIO, which was supposed to be an all-natural hair product and its purpose was to straighten real curly and frizzy hair. Well, after using RIO three times, I became severely ill. I became hypoglycemic, and I had to eat every two hours, otherwise my body would start shaking and I would feel like I was about to pass out. I also noticed cellulite on my thighs and arms. I became real depressed. RIO (hair product) was removed from the market and banned; it was discovered that RIO had four times more acid than a car battery. I understood why I got so sick then. I also tried a liquid veggie diet, which caused me to lose 20 lbs; however, the problem was that I eventually put that 20 lbs back on, in addition to another 20 lbs!!!! I started going to different doctors and trying many different products to cure my breasts and overall health. Well! By the time I got in to Dr. Berg's program, I no longer had my breast tumor or my hypoglycemia. I was so amazed by the program helping me to get rid of the cellulite and my extra thighs. It's incredible! And now I have about 10 lbs more to lose. What's even better is that I sleep like a baby and feel great!!! I lost 6 inches off my waist!

Before I started the program, I weighed in at 183.5 pounds (05-03-05). Well it's two months later and I weigh 162.5 (07-20-05). I lost 27 lbs in less than 2 months!

On your program I lost a total of 27 pounds in less than two months. When I started the program I had just stopped the Atkins diet. The Atkins diet left my body feeling drained and tired, with a loss of only a pound or two. My friend who had seen you in the past gave me your newsletter. Lost 63 pounds in 10 weeks

The patient has had a weight problem for the last twenty years. In spite of eating what she considered to be "good food": and attempting to exercise, her weight would not improve and her health has been getting worse as she has aged. No longer likes the taste of bad foods!

The second patient is a young woman who works for the sheriff's department. She began your program after coming to a seminar, and related that she has tried everything to get the weight off including starvation diets and exercising almost to the extreme. As the department occasionally does, an order was issued to get "the troops back into shape." Her colleagues all are using weight loss pills and special diets. I have lost 6 inches around my stomach area!

I'm planning on getting married, so I went and bought my wedding dress in January. The dress at the time was a little snug. When I started the program I weighed 166 lbs in April of 2006.
